Kentucky Citizens for Democracy mobilizes citizens to take action in defense of our Constitutional Republic. Through community organizing, peaceful demonstrations, and voter engagement initiatives, we encourage active participation in the democratic process. We believe that an engaged citizenry is the best safeguard against authoritarianism.
Democracy requires participation and engagement. Now, more than ever, citizens need to become vocal in their opposition to anti-democratic moves as well as support initiatives to preserve and extend our rights and freedoms. Our aim is to provide members and others with concrete actions that they can take at the local, state, and federal levels.
Many actions are ones that members can do as individuals and at their convenience. We will provide ideas, guides, and resources over the next weeks. There are times when members need to make their presence known at local meetings and protests, as well as support voter registration drives and local candidates for office. We will help guide those efforts, too.
By doing things individually and as a group in a strategic manner, we hope to recapture our community and country from the path to authoritarianism. Below are actions we recommend and hope you do, to take back our democracy.
