Government is for the people

Any form of government should be “of the people, by the people, and for the people. It is not only for the wealthy and special interests.

The Constitution is the rule of the land

The Constitution establishes three branches of government with shared powers. The checks and balances within must protect against the concentration of power, ensuring a fair and just society for all.

Equal Protection under the law

Inalienable rights for all human beings, regardless of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or sex, include:

  • Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
  • Freedom of speech
  • Freedom of religion
  • Freedom to peacefully assemble and protest
  • Freedom of the press/media
  • Protection against unreasonable search and seizure
  • Due process of law
  • A speedy and public trial
  • The right to face your accuser
  • The right to have the assistance of legal counsel
  • The right to trial by jury
  • Protection against cruel and unusual punishment
  • The right to vote regardless of sex, race, or sexual orientation
  • The right to shelter
  • The right to basic medical care
  • The right to free and equitable educational opportunities
  • Food security

Respect for the rule of law

Upholding laws that protect individual rights and ensure justice, while holding leaders accountable.

Economic Equality

Fostering a society where everyone has access to equal economic opportunities, regardless of background, race, or socioeconomic status.

Equal opportunity in the democratic process

Everyone should have equal access to political participation regardless of wealth or economic status.

Non-cooperation with evil is a duty

It is our duty to oppose any form of authoritarian or totalitarian government in whatever form it may take.

Civic Responsibility

Promoting the idea that citizens have a duty to engage in their communities and contribute to the democratic process.

Empowerment

Providing tools, education, and resources enables individuals to understand and exercise their democratic rights.

Inclusivity

Embracing diversity and ensuring marginalized and underrepresented groups have a voice in democracy.

Integrity

Committing to ethical behavior and honesty in all dealings, both within the organization and in the public arena.

Collaboration

Collaborating with like-minded organizations and individuals who are dedicated to the preservation of democratic and constitutional principles.

The right to organize

We believe in the fundamental right of individuals to freely and collectively organize in pursuit of better working conditions, fair treatment, and equitable opportunities.

Environmental Justice

Regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or geographical location, every individual has the fundamental right to live in a safe and healthy environment.

Free and fair elections

Regardless of background, location, or socioeconomic status, every individual deserves equal voting access. Voting should not be a privilege, but a right.
